Bidston, Wirral
This complete landscaping project in Bidston began with full site clearance, excavation and carefully planned groundworks. We reshaped the garden around the way our clients wanted to live outdoors, coordinating levels, drainage, structural bases and access before installing the visible finishes.
By managing the project from the groundwork stage through to paving, planting, lighting, the driveway and swimming pool, Unique Pavings & Landscapes created one coherent, durable outdoor space.
The centrepiece is a heated 8 × 4 metre swimming pool with built-in steps, positioned to connect naturally with the house and entertaining terrace. The pool surround was integrated into the wider landscaping plan so levels, drainage and pedestrian routes work together.
Low-level lighting and County Cream porcelain paving create a calm, practical finish around the water and make the garden usable well into the evening.
County Cream porcelain paving gives the finished garden a clean, contemporary surface. Porcelain-clad retaining walls, broad steps and accurately formed level changes create a seamless transition between the pool, lawn and upper garden.
Concealed access covers and precisely cut drainage details keep essential groundwork infrastructure accessible without interrupting the finish.
Uplighters beneath the trees and discreet low-level LEDs along the porcelain paths bring the Bidston garden to life after sunset. The lighting scheme highlights mature planting, improves visibility around steps and walkways, and extends the use of the outdoor space without overwhelming it.
At the front of the property, a Cranberry-coloured resin-bound driveway creates a warm, durable entrance. Charcoal sett borders define the edges, while integrated access covers preserve the uninterrupted appearance of the surface.
The driveway preparation formed part of the wider groundworks programme, ensuring a stable, permeable and long-lasting result for this Bidston home.
Successful landscaping starts below the finished surface. For this Bidston project, our team coordinated excavation, sub-bases, retaining structures, drainage and accurate level changes before completing the swimming pool surround, porcelain patios, garden paths, lighting and resin-bound driveway.
Our integrated approach gives homeowners one experienced team for complete garden transformations across Bidston, Wirral and the surrounding areas—from initial groundwork and garden design through to the final paving and planting details.
